Acland Court
Acland Court
In 2021, Studio Y was approached to redevelop Acland Court into a boutique fresh food precinct. The goal was to rejuvenate the shopping centre aesthetically, as well as to re-strategise the existing layout and retail offering. The new centre lovingly pays homage to the suburb’s post-war history as a fresh food shopping destination.
This involved the strategic selection of new retailers, as well as upgrading existing tenancies: Cellarbrations was moved to a new spot, larger and more prominently placed in the centre, while public spaces were elevated via practical and stylish design interventions. Smaller speciality retailers, such as an organic wholefoods store, were introduced into the tenancy mix.
